In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region, and His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing signed an agreement with both the National Developmental Housing Foundation “Sakan” and the Charitable Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province (Benaa), with the aim of providing 1,000 housing units for the most needy families.To enable them to own suitable housing.

The agreement was signed at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh today, between the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing for Developmental Housing, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qarawi, a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan", Dr. Muhammad Saud Al-Usaimi, and the Director General of the Charitable Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province "Benaa" Abdullah Rashid Al-Khalidi.

For this sector. His Highness praised the achievements of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing in the Saudi housing sector, which has recorded unprecedented success stories in light of the continued interest and support of the leadership - may God protect it.

While His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, noted the importance of the agreement in enabling the non-profit sector to provide adequate housing for the most needy families, as development housing in its second phase leads several alliances with the non-profit sector and the “Joud Housing” platform in order to manufacture many products that aim to facilitate ownership of these families, find appropriate housing solutions, enhance spending efficiency, and raise the financial solvency of the associations.Charitable and civil society organizations and increasing social protection for this group dear to our hearts.

It is worth noting that this agreement comes in an effort to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to create the necessary environment for the non-profit sector to provide adequate housing support and increase the contribution to the gross domestic product, and as an extension of the ongoing cooperation with development agencies to achieve family stability for beneficiaries, and increase the ownership rate of Saudi families by providing housing units in a number of cities and governorates in the Kingdom’s regions.
