The Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province spent more than five million riyals on the services and programs it provided to orphans and their families throughout the holy month of Ramadan, distributed among 21 services.
This was explained by Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, Director General of the Association, indicating that the number of beneficiaries of the services and programs reached 2,644 beneficiaries, male and female. He added that the services and programs included: sponsorships, sacrifice, Ramadan basket, taxi, and clothing.Eid al-Fitr gift, Holy Quran programs, Manabir al-Nour Holy Quran competition for 70 sons and daughters, assistance with renting houses, renovating, purchasing and furnishing houses, paying utility bills, marriage assistance, purchasing electrical appliances, English language programmes, health and educational aid, supporting productive families, building paths, and transportation.
Al-Khalidi said that the Benaa Association sought to secure all the needs of orphan families during the month of Ramadan, in addition to other aspects.Such as sponsorships, medical insurance, and payment of utility bills.
He added that the association is keen not to limit itself to providing financial support only, but rather seeks to provide high-quality services and focus on programs and projects that have a lasting impact on the orphan and his family through effective partnerships with governmental and private community institutions. He extended his thanks to all the supporters of the association, which had a prominent role in providing all services and programs.
The Benaa Association had launched a taxi project during the holy month of Ramadan.The project to empower mothers to provide more than 30 cars for orphans and widows was generously sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, may God protect them.
