The Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province spent more than two million riyals on its beneficiaries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The amount was spent on the Ramadan basket and the Ramadan sacrifice offered to orphans.
The Director General of the Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, explained that the Association sought to provide the needs of orphan families during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that the value of the Ramadan basket is 200 riyals per basket and the number of families benefiting from it is 745 families, including 2,636 individuals. Al-Khalidi added that the Ramadan sacrifice amounted to 145 sacrifices, benefiting 290 families, including 1,015 beneficiaries.
Al-Khalidi congratulated the association’s beneficiaries on the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that the association is keen to support the families of orphans during the blessed month and is not limited to financial support only, but rather the association seeks to provide high-quality services and focus on programs and projects that have a lasting impact on the orphan and his family through effective partnerships with governmental and private community institutions.
