Bina Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province obtained the “Rabeez” accreditation for quality management for the year 2021 AD. It is a British system designed for non-profit organizations and owned by the National Council for Voluntary Organizations (NCVO). The system was designed specifically for the non-profit sector with its various specializations.
Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, Director General of the Association, explained that obtaining this accreditation will contribute to developing and improving the services provided to orphans, as it includes a set of indicators that aim to manage the association efficiently.And effectiveness.
Al-Khalidi pointed out that this accreditation enhances oversight, performance development, and priority setting through the independent external evaluation process. It also aims to develop the organization to increase work motivation among employees, volunteers, and senior leadership, with an interest in enhancing the organization’s learning principle through evaluation. It also gives the organization more recognition and credibility among beneficiaries, supporters, and stakeholders.
Al-Khalidi touched on the features of the standard, as it provides a flexible approach to improving quality, which allows the organization to work according to its own policy and improves the quality of services to beneficiaries, which is a goal that “Binaa” always strives for. In addition, the standard supports creative thinking and empowering new points of view. It also enhances the principle of continuous improvement and allows for a tool for self-evaluation that helps to identify the current situation, strengths and weaknesses, and supports the principle of effective communication between employees and volunteers with leadership in addition to enhancing the method of continuous improvement.
Al-Khalidi concluded by highlightingThe areas of the standard include governance, planning, leadership, management, user-oriented service, employee management, education and development, and resource management. The areas also include communication, promotion, and working with others to emphasize cooperation, monitoring, and evaluating impact.
It is worth noting that the Bena Association was founded in 2010 AD, and during its journey it achieved 10 regional, Gulf, and local awards and recognitions, the most recent of which was its victory in the King Abdulaziz Quality Award for the year 2020 AD.The Society was also honored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - for obtaining first place in the King Khalid Award for Excellence for Non-Profit Organizations for the year 2016 AD.In addition to being honored as part of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World.
