Benaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province honored in a virtual celebration 136 male and female volunteers who contributed to the association’s programs and activities during the current year 2020, under the patronage of the Director General of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development branch, Abdul Rahman bin Fahd Al Muqbel. The celebration was held in conjunction with International Volunteer Day.
The celebration included a speech by the Director General of the Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalidi, during which he noted the most prominent efforts of male and female volunteers in the association, then a video highlighting the achievements of the volunteer heroes, then a speech by the volunteers.Dr. Hanan Al-Faisal, followed by a speech by the Director General of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development branch. During the celebration, volunteers were honored and certificates were sent to them electronically.
Al-Khalidi explained that the celebration was held in appreciation of the vital role played by male and female volunteers in the association’s work and its various activities, which resulted in achieving positive results as the volunteers competed in providing these works based on their responsibility towards the association and their desire to volunteer. He also expressed his happiness with the competition among the volunteers in the charity race, which had an impact on the work they do in the association, pointing out that the volunteers gained many experiences and skills as a result of those works in addition to the benefits accruing to the volunteer, the most important of which is gaining...Reward, wages, investment of time, building skills, and strengthening national belonging.
It is noteworthy that the number of volunteer hours carried out by 104 male and female volunteers in the association amounted to 2,850 hours, during the period from 1/1/2020 to 10/10/2020, and the economic value that was available to the association from volunteer work amounted to about 94 thousand riyals.
The association provides volunteer opportunities for various levels. Among the association’s volunteers are those who hold higher qualifications such as doctorate, master’s, bachelor’s, diploma, and high school degrees, and they work in administrative, social, organizational, service, media, marketing, educational, health, technical, and entertainment fields, which contributes to achieving quality of life for orphans. It also contributes to enhancing volunteer work in the non-profit sector to contribute to increasing the number of volunteers in order to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
