His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, will sponsor tomorrow, Sunday, at the Emirate’s Court, a ceremony honoring the male and female students who won the Al Yamamah Excellence Award, which targets orphans, both male and female, who are beneficiaries of the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province. The award aims to instill a culture of excellence and creativity among orphans, raise the level of academic achievement, and develop skills and abilities, in addition to embodying good citizenship and promoting positive values and behavior. The Director General of the Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, explained that based on the Association’s strategic objectives, which focused on creating effective and influential models of orphans in society, and what Vision 2030 focused on, which seeks to develop the capabilities of citizens so that they can compete globally by adopting entities that develop basic capabilities and skills and future skills, and in an effort toAl Yamama Group, in performing its societal roles, came up with the idea of launching the Al Yamama Award, which aims to enhance competition between orphans, male and female, and their mothers, in a way that enhances the development of their capabilities, including a set of integrated and interconnected paths, in order to support the Building Society.In achieving its goals of creating role models for orphans, male and female, who contribute to building their future and the future of their country, and to be role models for their orphan brothers, in order to achieve the adoption of a culture of excellence and creativity. Al-Khalidi added that the award’s tracks include academic achievement, as this track aims to encourage orphans, male and female, to raise the level of academic achievement and stimulate competition among them, which contributes to spreading the culture of academic excellence. This track consists of four branches:The primary stage, the middle stage, the secondary stage, university education and higher education. The second track is the aptitude and achievement tests, as it was prepared for the male or female student to obtain high scores in the general aptitude and achievement test. It is of great importance in enabling them to enroll in universities and scientific specializations with high demand inThe labor market, and Al-Khalidi pointed out that the third track includes local, regional and international competitions, as the track aims to increase the motivation of orphans by developing their abilities through their participation in educational, cultural and skill competitions approved locally, regionally and internationally, which contributesIn their continued search for knowledge. He pointed out that the fourth track is concerned with enhancing values, talents and skills in order to contribute to motivating male and female students to invest their time and develop their talents, abilities and skills by joining sports and cultural clubs in addition to participating in exhibitions, conferences and volunteer contributions. Al-Khalidi thanked His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Province for his generous sponsorship of the ceremony, honoring the winning male and female students, and his support for everything that serves orphans and their families in the region.
