145 specialists in orphan care, representing 39 participating associations, are participating in the initiative to build the capabilities of workers in orphan associations in the Kingdom in its sixth edition, which was launched today under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, and is hosted by the Benaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province over the course of three days.
The initiative aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those in charge of orphan associations and their workers within selected professional paths according to the best specialized specifications in order to deepen the impact of orphan associations and their excellence in all fields.
The male and female participants have begun attending workshops in 7 specific professional fields that were carefully designed to suit the local context, and accredited by the General Organization for Vocational Training and by a specialized international accreditation office.
The initiative provides knowledge enrichment to the orphan sector in a number of areas that are consistent with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and contributes to the growth of this sector in general and the orphan sector in particular, towards community development.
It aims to qualify chairmen and members of boards of directors, leaders, and workers in orphan associations in the Kingdom, representing 8% of workers in the orphan sector. The sixth edition is distinguished by qualifying them to obtain professional certificates in 7 main areas in the work of the associations, in addition to the fact that these certificates are of international or local origin and have been carefully designed to keep pace with the local context.
