63 male and female pilgrims who benefited from the services of the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region stopped at the Arafat level today to perform the greatest pillar of the Hajj.
The orphans and widows pilgrims had left the Eastern Province via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for this year after the association selected them from among those who had not previously performed the Hajj and met the conditions.
The Director General of the Association, Abdullah Al-Khalidi, explained that the number of widows participating in the Hajj trip reached 28, while the number of orphans reached 16 and 19 female orphans.
Al-Khalidi added that the association is keen every year to provide the opportunity for those who wish to perform Hajj from families registered with the association who have not previously performed Hajj, including orphans, males and widows. The association covers all costs, which are secured by supporters who participate in covering the costs of the Hajj project every year. This comes from the association’s keenness to enable orphans and widows to perform this duty.
Al-Khalidi indicated that the association had completed all the necessary procedures and arrangements for the participants in the Hajj trip, as Hajj permits were issued through the Absher platform and the necessary health vaccinations were taken to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
He pointed out that an introductory meeting was held for the participants at the association’s headquarters in Al-Khobar, and the meeting covered various topics, most notably learning about the Hajj journey, in addition to clarifying the rituals and provisions of Hajj.
Al-Khalidi expressed his thanks to the supporters of the Hajj trip for the association’s beneficiaries and their keenness to enable the participants to perform the Hajj.
On the other hand, the orphans and widows participating in the Hajj trip expressed their happiness in performing this obligation, and extended their thanks to the philanthropists who supported the project and to the Benaa Association that enabled them to go on the Hajj trip, asking God to reward everyone who supported and supported them with the best reward.
