The King Salman Relief Center grants the Bena Association the first license for a Saudi orphan association to practice humanitarian activity outside the Kingdom
RiyadhHis Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province, received from His Excellency the General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, the first license for a Saudi orphan association that is allowed to work and practice humanitarian and relief activities outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Highness extended on this occasion sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman binAbdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the faithful Crown Prince - may God protect them - for their great and continuous support for humanitarian work, which made the Kingdom one of the first countries in the world in the field of humanitarian work through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid.
His Highness stressed that the strategic partnership between the King Salman Relief Center and the Benaa Society for Orphan Care comes within the framework of enhancing integration between non-profit sector organizations, which is one of the pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which established the work of non-profit organizations, supported them, and facilitated their access.For such partnerships that reflect on the individual and society inside and outside the Kingdom.
His Highness extended his thanks and appreciation to those in charge of the center, led by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, on the occasion of the association obtaining the first license for a Saudi orphan association to practice humanitarian activity outside the Kingdom. This confirms the association’s success and distinction in its journey to serve orphans, and the experiences it has gained that qualify it to be one of the arms of the state’s humanitarian giving extending outside the kingdom.
He added.His Highness that the Bena Association for Orphan Care has received many international, Arab, Gulf and local excellence awards, including in 2021 AD receiving the British Quality Mark as a reliable organization, and the Association won the King Abdulaziz Quality Award in 2020 AD, and in 2019 AD the Association was honored with the Excellence Award in Pioneering Projects at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during the fifth meeting of the Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in Muscat.
His Highness added that the association received the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for the best charitable performance in the Arab world in 2018. It also received the Al Sanabel Award for social responsibility in orphan care institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in 2017, and it won the King Khalid Award for Excellence for Non-Profit Organizations (first place) in 2016, noting that in the same year the association obtained the accreditation certificate from ISO 9001:2015.The Society was also honored with the Transparency Award for its implementation of governance and transparency standards, and in 2015 the Society won the Al-Subaie Award for Excellence in Charitable Work “first place.” In the same year, it also won the King Khalid Award for Non-Profit Organizations “second place.” Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah noted the support that humanitarian work receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them -His Excellency explained that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed the establishment of the Center to be an international humanitarian edifice and a pioneering center for relief and humanitarian work that conveys our values to the world. Today, thanks to the support and follow-up of the wise leadership - may God protect them - we are witnessing this prestigious position that the Center has reached on the international level and has become among the ranks of international organizations and their partners, indicating that granting this certificate comes in implementation of the generous directives to increase the contribution of the non-profit sector effectively in various fields, including activatingHis role is to participate in external humanitarian and relief work, and to enhance joint and strategic cooperation between sectors, to contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
At the end of the ceremony, souvenirs were exchanged.
