The Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province delivered 5 housing units, representing the first batch of the safe housing project, which the Association launched in partnership with Developmental Housing, one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Housing. The Association furnished all the homes allocated to families before handing them over.
Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Bena Association for Orphan Care, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, explained that the Bena Association pays great attention to providing suitable housing for families benefiting from the association’s services, as the partnership with Developmental Housing at the Ministry of Housing resulted in providing these units for orphan families, which is the beginning of a fruitful partnership, stressing the association’s keenness to develop this partnership - God willing - so that most of the beneficiary families can own modern and safe housing, in distinctive locations where all the services that make these families live are available.A decent life, God willing. In addition, families owning homes contributes to alleviating the large financial burdens they incur, whether renting homes or the high maintenance cost of homes, as they are old and need constant maintenance.
Al-Khalidi stated that the association launched the Safe Housing Project, which aims to secure the largest possible number of homes for families, whether through agreements with the Ministry of Housing, or through establishing partnerships with the private sector to contribute to supporting this project, which will have a significant and positive impact on the families of orphans sponsored by the association.
