The Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province spent an amount of (4,172,559) riyals on orphans and their families during the holy month of Ramadan, distributed among 18 services for orphans, including sponsoring orphans and securing food supplies for the month of Ramadan through the Ramadan basket project, Eid clothing, renting houses, purchasing electrical appliances, paying utility bills, and marriage assistance, in addition to programs and activities to qualify to contribute to empowering orphans and helping them to rely on themselves and some services.The other.
Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, explained that the Benaa Association sought to secure all the needs of orphan families during the month of Ramadan, in addition to other aspects such as training, renting homes, medical insurance, and paying utility bills. Community members are given the opportunity to contribute to supporting these projects, such as the Ramadan basket project and Eid clothing.
He added that in Binaa, we are keen not to limit ourselves to providing financial support only, but rather seek to provide high-quality services and focus on programs and projects that have a lasting impact on the orphan and his family through effective partnerships with governmental and private community institutions, and creating suitable conditions and environment for the orphan to be a good and productive citizen in society.
It is noteworthy that the Bena Association today sponsors more than three thousand orphans, male and female children, and widows. It spent an amount of thirty-seven million five hundred and forty-three thousand and one hundred and twenty-two riyals on their care, rehabilitation, training and empowerment during the year 2018, bringing the total spent by the association during its journey from 2012 to today to more than (159) million riyals.
