20 orphans from the Benaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province have completed their preparations to participate in the competitions of the First National Olympiad for the Kingdom’s Orphan Associations with the support of the Saudi Investment Bank, the exclusive supporter. The competitions are held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Asir region, and are organized by the Fathers Association for Orphan Care in the city of Abha. 260 orphans, representing seventeen of the orphan associations in the Kingdom of secondary school students, participate in this Olympics.Participants compete in eight competitive cultural and sports fields, after which the association with the highest number of points receives the Olympic banner.
The participants from the Bena Association for Orphan Care arrived in the city of Abha and were received by Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalidi, Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Bena Association for Orphan Care.
Ms. Ishraq Al-Dhubyani, Assistant General Manager for Corporate Communications at the Saudi Investment Bank, explained that the bank is working to strengthen its partnerships with charities and accredited community service institutions in the Kingdom out of its keenness to perform its social roles in accordance with the bank’s sustainable plans and initiatives, wishing success to the Benaa Association team and all teams participating in the Olympics.
Abdullah Al-Khalidi, Director General of the Bena Association, thanked the Saudi Investment Bank for supporting the participation of the association’s children, appreciating that, stressing that this support is not surprising for the Saudi Investment Bank, as it always strives for community participation and support the activities of the Bena Association. Al-Khalidi also thanked the Asir Parents Association for organizing this large gathering, which will greatly benefit the orphans, God willing, hoping through the knowledge and experience they will gain during the competitions.
