The launch of the first scientific camp in Jubail (1)
The first scientific camp for the Kingdom’s orphans, organized by the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province of Jubail Governorate, was launched yesterday, with the participation of 40 young people affiliated with orphan care associations across the Kingdom, in order to achieve many goals by inviting students from associations specialized in orphan care in the Kingdom to participate in the camp and provide quality programs for them, at the Jubail Technical Institute camp in Jubail Industrial City. Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Building Society, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalidi, explained that the scientific camp for orphans, which lasts eight days, will be a qualitative leap for each participant, as he will learn many skills, knowledge, practical experiences, and twenty-first century skills that will make him able, God willing, to achieve his goals and passion for science and knowledge, as well as the aspirations of his family, as well as those in charge of the association that sponsors him. Al-Khalidi stated that this project includes several tracks, including the space and aviation track, and gives a general overview of the applications of science, mathematics, and engineering. Participants will also learn about part of aviation science and learn about some scientific applications and concepts in space and the field of professional aviation. It also includes programs in documentation and short films to introduce participants to real documentation techniques, methods, and patterns that aim to document some aspects of reality for the purpose of learning and disseminating knowledge.
