Construction and Boeing sign a partnership to host 40 orphans
Boeing and the Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province will add 40 students affiliated with orphan care associations across the Kingdom to participate in the first scientific camp for orphans, which will achieve many goals by inviting students from national associations for orphan care to participate in the camp that is being held in Jubail Governorate. Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Benaa Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalidi, explained that the scientific camp for orphans will be a qualitative leap for each participant, as it will provide him with many skills, knowledge, practical experiences, and twenty-first century skills that will make him able, God willing, to achieve his goals and the aspirations of his family, as well as those in charge of the association that sponsors him. Al-Khalidi added: This project, which was kindly sponsored by Boeing, will be held at the Jubail Technical Institute, the hosting sponsor of the camp, and will last for eight days. It includes several tracks, including the space and aviation track, and gives an overview of the applications of science, mathematics, and engineering. Participants will also learn about part of aviation science and learn about some scientific applications and concepts in the real world and the field of professional aviation. It also includes programs in documentation and short films to introduce participants to real documentation techniques, methods, and patterns that aim to document some aspects of reality for the purpose of education.. Al-Khalidi said: The students will benefit from workshops in digital manufacturing and modeling ideas by using modern devices in laser cutting and 3D printing, and each group will implement a project using these technologies. The camp also includes an enrichment program in (Toastmaster), which is an international educational program that helps in communicating and speaking in front of the public and building confidence in the person. The program provides an enjoyable and useful way to apply communication, public speaking, and leadership. The camp includesOn various sports and physical activities. For his part, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Qader Jazzar pointed out the necessity of supporting these projects because they enhance the aspirations of this group that is dear to our hearts, and that it is important that we all participate to support them, assist them, and empower them to face the various challenges. Thus, we encourage the projects and programs presented by the Bena Association for the care of orphans, and that it is necessary to provide means to finance and encourage these projects, and that it is the duty of all segments of the private sector to support and support charitable societies.Jazzar added: “Boeing is working within plans that have been studied very carefully to help us make an ongoing societal contribution to serve the local community and enhance the company’s aspirations and goals in terms of its social responsibility.” There will also be activities and visits to several entities and sites in Jubail Industrial City and the Royal Commission. Al-Khalidi extended his thanks to Boeing Company for this important project, which is in the interest of orphans throughout the Kingdom and will have a positive impact on their families through what they will learn during the period in which they will participate in the camp. Thanks are extended to the hosting sponsor, the Jubail Technical Institute, and to our organizing partner, the Jubail Orphans Association.
