The Arab Organization for Administrative Development, in cooperation with the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, will honor the Benaa Association for Orphan Care tomorrow, Wednesday, for winning the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Award for the Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World. The Association has won first place at the level of associations in the Arab world in the major institutions branch, which is awarded by the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development.The association achieved first place out of more than 156 organizations and charitable organizations in the Arab world nominated for this award. The honoring ceremony, attended by many honorees and those interested in the charitable sector, will be held in the city of Rabat in the Kingdom of Morocco under the patronage of the King of the Kingdom of Morocco, King Mohammed VI bin Hassan. The committee supervising the award relied on a number of technical standards required in the work of charitable institutions and societies. The standards focused on the percentage of performance compared to goals, the time taken between requesting the service and its provision, the percentage of the number of complaints and the mechanism for resolving them, the number of projects implemented, and the number of branches, in addition to standards of leadership and services provided, satisfaction of beneficiaries, development of financial resources, endowment management, and other standards associated with performance. His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh Al-Youssef, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bena Association for Orphan Care, said: The association’s victory with this award is a tribute and a badge of honor on the chest of every member of this association, as we have distinguished ourselves in a field that is most important, as serving orphans and caring for them is one of the things that a servant is most rewarded for doing. Praise be to God for achieving this achievement and winning first place at the level of associations in the Arab world. Dozens of associations participated in the award, and we were able to win, with God’s grace, and then with keenness to develop. Continuing and providing distinguished services to orphans and their families to make them live in model families that possess all the components of a decent life, in addition to ensuring the training and development of orphans and their mothers alike to create a distinguished family that can in the future rely on its children to achieve its aspirations. He added: We at Binaa strive to achieve a goal that is considered the most important for us, which is to provide distinguished service to orphans with all professionalism according to drawn-up plans supervised by specialists in the field of orphan service. Our winning this award is considered a source of pride for the association and its employees, as it bears the name of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz and has a position in the Arab world and not only at the local level. This victory holds us additional responsibility to develop our work and provide better services to all families benefiting from the association’s services. Member of the Shura Council and Director General of the Bina Association, Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Khalidi, said that the association, praise be to God, has achieved many successes in providing distinguished services to orphans in accordance with the goals set since the founding of the association. We at Bina do not seek to provide financial support only, but we are keen to provide quality programs and initiatives that develop and enhance the talents of orphans and make them creative and active people in society. The association sponsors more than 2,700 orphans, male and female widows, and widows in the Eastern Province, providing them with a system of educational and training programs.Rehabilitation and qualitative services are designed based on field studies and scientific research to keep pace with the needs and aspirations of orphans and achieve their satisfaction. To achieve this, we are keen to attract specialized cadres to serve orphans, as we focus on ensuring that everyone who deals with orphans has specialization and experience so that we can achieve the best results, and this is what has been achieved, praise be to God. We are now seeing the results of the support and attention provided to the orphans, as the numbers of outstanding members of the association are increasing, and thisIt all comes back, after God’s grace and success, to the support and assistance that the association receives from good people in the region who provide all aspects of support so that the association can continue to provide its services to this precious group of our orphans. Al-Khalidi added: Praise be to God, the association has been distinguished over the past years by obtaining the King Khalid Award for Excellence for Non-Profit Organizations for two consecutive years and being crowned with the award from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - The Association also won the Al-Subaie Award for Excellence in Charitable Work, as well as the Association being honored by the Good Role Model Foundation for achieving standards of transparency, justice, integrity and accountability. The Association also obtained the ISO 9001-2015 accreditation certificate. The Bena Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province was established in 2010 AD at the initiative of some people interested in public affairs and some businessmen and officials in the region. Its Board of Directors is headed by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Muhammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It is the only association specialized in fully caring, rehabilitating and empowering orphans in the Eastern Province and specializing in this field, which made it work to sign community partnerships and cooperation agreements with governmental and private community institutions to support projects that concern orphans in the belief that investmentIn children, it is the ideal investment that will move the orphan from need to sufficiency after obtaining an amount of education that qualifies him to obtain a suitable job in the future that will take him and his family to a future and a decent life.
